10 Demanding Blog Topics or Niches That Will Quickly Attract A Huge Nigerian Audience

A niche is the particular area of market on which a specific product is focusing. The market niche defines the product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and demographics that is intended to impact. For example, Sport channels like STAR Sports, ESPN, STAR Cricket and fox sport target a niche of sport lovers. Some niche may become saturated with marketers, increasing competition and thus reduce the slice of the pie available to each competitors. One solution is to find smaller, “undiscovered”, but still profitable niches usually by searching the best keywords to target.
These lower cost keywords are called long – tailed keywords, as in long tail of secondary keyword phrases that usually follow the main keyword in popularity of number of searches conducted by internet users. Because some are so obscure as to have few or no clicks per month, the trick is to find the right ones to target.
One of the worst mistakes you can ever make in online business is to choose the wrong niche or topic for your blog. This one blunder can delay your success in online business by years and that is if you would succeed at all. Your choice of a blog topic must be based on two major factors:
1.     Your knowledge about the topic and interest in it.
If you blog on a topic that people are not interested in, your zeal will quickly wipe out when you start facing discouraging challenges such as low SEO (Search Engine Ranking) rankings, low audience engagement, low traffic and so on. These are the harsh realities of blogging which most of these Webmasters will never tell you. Nothing can keep you going except your knowledge, and your willingness to share your experience with others.
Now I am not saying that you must be a professional on a topic before you can blog on it. (Of course, you can research and learn extensively about the topic and still share what you have with others). Don’t blog on a topic because many people are also blogging on it so you say to yourself “let me follow the crowd” or because you believe you can make lots of money from it. (You can virtually make money from any topic which is unique, valuable, error – free and rich with quality content).

This is paramount because you might be interested in a particular niche or topic but if you don’t have the technical-know-how and basic rudiments about it, you better back off. Because you will not be able to impress your prospects with adequate information they need. It is that driving zeal and passion you have for that niche that will keep you going, even when you don’t get the required result you were expecting.
2.     The demand for information on the topic.
When I say demand I mean the rate at which people really need the information or services you are offering.
This is very key and determines your success, not only in online business. Most entrepreneurs and business men venture into business that the demand is very high and the profit potential is promising. (More demand= More money). There is no point going about ranting on a topic that nobody is interested in or the demand is very low. You will not make money, that is if you even engage anybody.
Let me give you an instance, you set up a blog and then you decide to write on a topic like Dog Training because you love the art and want to teach it to others. You publish loads of valuable posts consistently for several months, and you adopt various blog promotion tactics that brings traffic. But sadly, nobody seems to be engaging with the blog. The 3 comments you have on the blog after 6 months were placed by your close friend, your brother and a visitor. Frustrating isn’t it? That’s what you get when you blog on a topic that only 0.1% of your target audience are interested in.
You may be knowledgeable about a topic. You may have a burning desire to blog on it. And if you’re not eyeing any profit, you’re free to go ahead without further planning or brainstorming strategies. But if your aim is to aim to make money from your blog, then you must choose a topic that many people are interested in.
No matter how keen your interest in a topic is, you’ll have that interest dampened when you seem to be the only one involved. It’s like having just 2 people turning up for a speech you’re to deliver at a venue that was prepared for a 1,000 people.
Well, if you are creating your blog just to share your personal thoughts, opinion and enjoy the fun of having your writing online, you may not bother about the topic. In fact, you can pick topics at random and write on them. But if you are blogging in order to make some income from it, you just have to choose your topic wisely.
NOW, LET’S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS, SHALL WE?
Having stated all the above, let me share with you some eye-catching blogs topics and niches that will quickly attract a Nigerian audience. If you start a blog on any of these topics, chances are, you’ll start making money within a short period of time, I did not say a few weeks. Before I roll out my list, please remember that your choice of a niche must be based on your personal interest as well as demand for the information you want to share. Although the topics in this list would quickly attract a large audience due to high demand for the related information, you won’t have a smooth sail if you don’t have a natural interest in them or you don’t know much about them. Rather, in that case, I would advise to look elsewhere and brainstorm further for a topic that will meet the two major criteria that I stated earlier. Also, note that this list is restricted to topics that will quickly attract a Nigerian audience. If your plan is to target a global audience (probably because you’ll make more money that way), then stay hooked to this blog. Very soon, I’ll be publishing a list of hot blog topics that will attract a global audience quickly.
NOW CHECK OUT MY LIST
1.     Small Business Set-Up And Self-Employment Ideas
Here are the latest headlines in the news:

·        776,000 jobs lost in textile industry
·        20.3 million Nigerians currently unemployed
·        16,000 unemployed youths scramble for 100 judiciary jobs
You don’t need a prophet to tell you that the country is hurting badly for jobs and money. People are looking for new ways to generate money especially by setting up a small business. You can tap into this and take advantage of the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria, because there is a huge demand for information on how to set up a small business and become Self-employed. Whenever I browse through the business section of most Nigerian Online communities and forums, I see questions like “What business can I start with ₦10,000, what business can I set up with ₦50,000?”, “How can I set up my own Small business without stress”? and so on. These questions can give you brilliant blog post ideas like sharing tips on how to start a small business, giving business start up tips, marketing tips , money management tips and investments opportunities. I can go on and on, the list is endless. You’ll quickly attract the attention of many unemployed or underemployed Nigerians. That’s free information for them, and traffic for you. (More Traffic= More Money).
2.     Tips  On How To Get A Good Job
Even though there are few of such vacant office positions in Nigeria, some never-say-die graduates would never give up on their search for office jobs. Share tips on how to prepare for a job interview, how to answer interview questions, how to write a great job application letter, Job search strategies, How to write a killer CV (curriculum vitae), and so on.
3.     Android Devices And Tutorials
Now, Android phones have taken over the Nigerian Smart-phones market (Thanks to Tecno and high end brands like Samsung and Sony). You’d be amazed at the rate at which Nigerians are searching the web for information about Android phones (Tecno especially). Share the latest news about the Android devices in market, the rating and prices of Android devices, reviews of Android Apps as well as tutorials and tricks on how to do various things with an Android device. If you have practical knowledge about technologies, then this topic will be really good for you.
4.     Best Deals And Promo Offers
Everyone loves to buy things for cheap – and we Nigerians are not an exception. You’ll attract a huge audience if you start a blog that breaks news about discount offers, promos, and price comparisons. Although, you’ll spend lots of time on research, you’ll be amazed at how people engage with your blog and at how advertisers will be queuing to buy ad space on your blog. Advertisers pay big money to buy ad space but I must say this it depends on the authority of your blog, the number of visitors per day, the quality content you post.
5.     Celebrity Gist And Entertainment News
Personally, this niche does not catch my fantasy because I think it has already been congested by Nigerian Bloggers. But the truth is, you will always get an audience if you start a blog on the topic with Eye – catching headlines. But you will need to post fresh news on a frequent basis in order to attract and retain a large audience.
6.     How To Make Money Online
Well, that is exactly what this very blog is all about. Many Nigerians, employed or not; want to increase their monthly income by venturing into online business. So, anyone who shares relevant and valuable information in this regard will attract a large audience within a very short time. Share the various ways by which people can make money online, how they can start their online businesses, how they can monetize their websites and blogs, how they can make money without owning a website or blog, and how they can make money online using only their smart-phones, among many other topics. 7.     Business And Investment Opportunities
Due to Nigeria’s unstable economy, Nigerians are always looking for ways to prepare for bad times. Today, many salary earners are on the lookout for promising investment opportunities that will boost their income. So, if you create a blog about business and investment opportunities, you’ll attract a huge audience – of people who really have money (If that would be anything to go by). Break news about latest promotions, share offers property for sale at cheap prices and other investment opportunities.
8.     How To Travel Abroad
For obvious reasons which I explained earlier, many Nigerians are desperate seeking to travel abroad for a better standard of living, among other motives. You’ll quickly attract hundreds to thousands of these “desperadoes”, If you share on your website or blog information that will be of help to them. Share tips on how to secure overseas scholarships, how to secure a visa, how to choose the right overseas destinations and so on.
9.     Scholarships And Admissions
Presently, there are millions of Nigerian youths seeking admission into the nation’s tertiary institutions. These people are ready to implement any helpful tips they find on any website. So, if you share information that will interest them, you’ll get a huge audience. You’ll also attract undergraduates by sharing information about the latest scholarship schemes (Either foreign or Nigerian Scholarships).
Oil companies like Mobil, Shell, Chevron offer scholarships to Nigerians every year, so you will really attract a very huge audience if you share relevant scholarships news, their requirements, how to apply and other demand things.
Break the news about post UTME Guidelines as published by various institutions, share tips on how to pass the UTME, share tips on how to pass the post UTME guidelines as published by various institutions, break the news about  various scholarship programmes.
Monetization Tip: Package the post-UTME past questions and answers for various institutions into PDF format and sell them to your audience. You will make money. This is stated precisely in this article “How to Make Money on the Internet- A Professional Guide On How To Get Started And make Money Online”.
10.            Free Software Codes And Cracks
Nigerians love getting things through the easiest means possible. You’ll quickly build a high traffic blog if you share software cracks and codes, free browsing APNs, links to free browsing APNs, links to free e-books and software, tutorials and tricks, etc. However, I would advice you not to blog on this topic for two reasons:
·        Google hates websites and blogs that disclose vital information illegally. So, your website or blog will most likely to be denied approval for Google Adsense.
·        Advertisers don’t like to be associated with sites that ravish other’s privacies. So you won’t make money from selling Ad-Space, even if you have a massive audience.
OTHER PROMISING NICHES AND TOPICS

12.            Football Gist And News
13.            Fashion

The Harsh Realities Of Online Business Nobody Told You About.

Just by searching the word “How to make money on the internet” on Google, you see all sorts of money making headlines like:
Exposed: “How I’m making over $500 daily from My Secret Business”.
“Here’s how I’m making a 5 – Digit figure monthly from my blog. I’ve quit my day job and I’m now my Boss.”
“How I made thousands of dollars within one month selling Information Products”
“How to make $500 within 3 hours daily”
A Hidden Secret: “How I’m making 10,000 monthly through Affiliate Marketing”.
“How I make ₦500,000 every month on the internet”.
“How I Make A Living From Website And Domain Flipping”.
My Wealth Formula Revealed: “Make At Least $500 everyday from fiverr”
I can go on and on. I know you must agree with me especially if you have come across these eyes – catching headlines too but I want warn you, these are all lies and scams that promises overnight riches. Online business is not that rosy, after reading this post you will be well equipped with the rudiments of online business and whether to venture into it or not.
For this reason, it is of key importance that before we go into the nitty gritty of starting online business proper, we must first take a look at the reasons why most online businesses fail and what you can do to prevent yourself from also failing too.
Most people don’t make money from online business in Nigeria due to four main reasons:
1. Lack Of Information
2. Lack Of Preparation
3. Perseverance
4. Poor Advertisement Strategy
Let us take a look at each one of these reasons in greater detail.

1. Lack of information
Having the right information when starting any business is the hallmark of success and online business is not an exception. Making money online is not a piece of cake that you finish at one spot. To succeed you need to have specific knowledge coupled with insider details and information from those who have done it and actually made money not just once but repeatedly.
You need to understand online advertising and marketing, Traffic generation, creating a list of audience, search engines rules and how they can affect your revenues and so on.

Unfortunately, most newbies who venture into this business do not have the complete knowledge about how these things work and what they should or should not do. Many of these people come across partial information from sources like websites and badly written e-books etc but because the information is not complete or partially correct, they end up failing in their venture.
Many of such websites and e-books are created by people who tried the business but failed so they want to make money by tricking newbie’s into thinking that they are “gurus”. Meanwhile all they offer is the same incomplete, irrelevant and sometimes totally wrong information that they themselves could not make money with. A typical example is just by typing the word “How to make money on the internet” – You see numerous headlines promising all sorts of overnight riches at the click of a button. But do need someone to tell you that they are nothing but blatant lies and scams.
For you to succeed, you need to learn from people who have actually done this thing and succeeded. Learn from their experience and valuable insights. The only challenge you might face is how to know who is fake and who is real. But not to worry, at the end of this post you will be in a much better position to distinguish between scammers and genuine gurus.

2. Lack Of Preparation
This mainly has to do with people who learnt about this business for free or who were deceived into thinking that they can make millions overnight by doing little or nothing. When things are not moving as fast as they imagined or were told, they easily give up.
They got the info for free, got a website for free, tried it for a couple of weeks expecting instant results, saw no results, got discouraged and gradually lost their commitment because they had nothing to lose by giving up. But as I always like to say: if setting it up had cost them a million naira, these people would have taken the business much more seriously and shown far more commitment.
In fact this is the exact reason why I chose to charge for my Cash System Business e-book and not give them out for free like the other ones, even though I claim to be trying to help the youths of Nigeria to empower themselves. Charging for the package is to ensure that anybody who buys them must take the business very seriously and show the needed level of commitment.
Online business is full of challenges and I have since realized that people will only show the needed level of seriousness when they have to pay for the e-books because then they will feel that they have something to lose if they do not put in their best. I only have time to teach serious people so please don't ask me to help you by giving you the materials for free because that will not help you.

Seriousness, commitment and dedication are the major ingredients that got us to where we are today despite the many failures we experienced so it is critical that anyone who is attempting this online business must view it with the utmost seriousness for him/her to succeed. If someone knows that he has put in money to obtain this information then he will always consider the cost of failure and be motivated to put in his/her very best. Only when you are damn serious about it can you succeed in this business.
3. Perseverance
Present statistics shows that, there are over 1 billion websites and blogs on the internet today and over 200,000 new blogs are created on a daily basis by people like you who want to make money on the internet.
This clearly gives you a picture of how competitive online business has become – one that only the determined and undeterred can survive. So it’s a Survival-Of-The-Fittest game.
Most people are not willing to wait long for money to start flowing in like a waterfall. They start today and expect to see big profits almost immediately. I wouldn’t blame them, the problem is that many of the fake "gurus" give people the impression that they can make money overnight without having to do much at all. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Only in extremely rare cases can this be true but most of the time, it's false.

Making money online is not an easy task. Most times the gains of online business do not come immediately and you may sometimes need to keep working and learning (and sometimes even failing) for up to 6 months or even up to a year, maybe more before you will start seeing big profits. I know you hate the one year part but the good side of it is that once you gather enough experience in the business and start making money, it will get to the point where your monthly income keeps increasing without your direct intervention.

In online business, results can be very volatile and unpredictable especially when you do not already have a proven strategy that works. In my case, it took us about 2 years of failures, anxiety, setbacks, trial and error before I was able to evolve my present methods. Luckily for you, you will not have to go through the same stress because all you need to do now is to learn from me and follow my lead. But this does not mean that you won't fail at least once, twice or even thrice. The trick is not to give up but to try and try again every time you fail.
Although, there are types of online business that can actually get you profits within a short period of time (I didn’t say a few weeks) like Information Marketing which like you know that’s what I’m into and am also equipped with other types of online business, the majority of online businesses typically take between 9 and 12 months before you can expect to start seeing any tangible yields and results. Until then, it’s virtually all sweat with little returns.
The only way you can speed the process up is to spend money on advertising. The bottom line is that you will need to be patient to a very large extent even if your expectations are not met.
Online business has the long term potential to give you revenues many times higher than what you will ever receive as a salary earner. Therefore the earlier you start out on the journey, the better.

4. Poor Advertising Strategy
The major task before every online entrepreneur is to drive traffic. Without a good advertising strategy, your online business is dead because visitors won’t just flow to your blog through magic. If you thought all you need is to post some few articles you copied from another site and sit back expecting the traffic to come, you have been dreaming so you better wake up! You are in for a big disappointment and frustration and this is exactly the reasons behind the high rate of blogs been abandoned by their owners after a few month of creation.
Only when you attract traffic can you make profit from your online business. You blog’s useless if you only get unit count visits daily from your siblings and friends. To make real money and not just crumbs from online business, you need huge traffic. Think thousands to millions. The more traffic you generate, the more income you’ll make.
More Traffic = More Money.
Promoting your posts through social media, Forum marketing, Guest blogging, Social bookmarking are very good advertising strategy which is explained in full details in my Cash System Business E-book.
No business would thrive without customers and online business is not an exception. So generating traffic is like attracting customers.

Conclusion
For you to succeed in online business, you need to cast away all doubts and believe that you can and will succeed. You should not expect too much too soon and don’t set your expectations too high so that you will not get disappointed or discouraged when they are not met on time.
You must believe that you will succeed and expect to succeed. You must set goals for yourself and strive to reach them. Do not expect too much too soon.

You must use the right methods that have been proven to work and you must continue to experiment, refine and seek out information and better methods that will generate the most gains from the least effort. For example, the methods explained in my e-book package "The Cash System Business (C.S.B.)" are methods which I have developed and refined over the course of many years research and personal findings.
Although what I suggest in the C.S.B course is not the only way to do online business, the important thing is that the techniques described in it are what we are using and they are working for us and for hundreds other of our students who are also using it. This makes us certain that if you follow those same methods and with God on your side then they will also work for you.
You’ve read it all, its now your turn – I know you are thinking whether or not to go into online business. Which of these thoughts is lingering on your mind right now, what are your next plans? Share your thoughts by commenting below.

Online Payment Solutions For Nigerians:Sure-Fire Ways To Receive Money From Outside Nigeria Without Stress.

PayPal is unarguably the most widely used payment method service for online transactions worldwide. It is generally easy to use and a relatively secure way to receive funds and also send money while buying products and services online. But sadly, Nigerians are no longer allowed to use the service. Do not listen to those “Gurus” I see on the internet claiming they can open a PayPal account right here in Nigeria. It’s all lies and scam. I have seen so many folks who have had their PayPal account frozen and their funds inaccessible with no explanation and this can really affect a business or person for a length of time. This restriction is one of the major worries of Nigerian webmasters and online entrepreneurs. In fact, it is the reason why some Nigerians are yet to start their online businesses. If you’re finding it hard to receive payment online because PayPal is a no-no for we Nigerians, this post is for you. Here, I will be discussing four alternatives which Nigerians can receive money from foreigners with ease. Please note these alternatives may not be perfect replacements for PayPal, but they will provide an avenue for you to receive payment from abroad. As the saying goes when the desirable is not available, the available become desirable. Now let’s look at the alternatives you’ve got:
·        Bank Wire Transfer
This method of payment is generally very simple: Your funds are transferred from the sender’s bank account to your own bank account here in Nigeria. You must have a domiciliary account.  A domiciliary account is an International banking account in foreign currency such as US Dollars or UK Pounds opened in a home bank that can be used for sending and receiving payments online. A domiciliary account allows you to be paid in any foreign currency of your choice. You can easily open a domiciliary account with any Nigerian bank, but you must have a Valid Form Of identification (International passport, Driver’s License, National identity Card or even Voter’s Card), two referees and some other requirements depending on the bank. You can visit any bank to make inquires on opening a domiciliary account.
Though speedy as it seems, this payment method is not instant. You may have to wait for days to few weeks before receiving your funds. But the option is suitable for almost everyone in online business.
·        Cheque
If you are planning to go into Affiliate Marketing, Google Adsense, Online paid surveys or online writing jobs, receiving a check may be the best or more like the only option for you. Once you request your payment from the company or individual you are dealing with, a US cheque would be sent to your mailing address which is payable into a domiciliary account and you can get your cash at any Nigeria bank. Receiving funds through cheque may take weeks, depending on the bank you use as well as the issuing bank. So, this payment method may not be suitable if you need the funds urgently because most commercial banks in Nigeria usually use 15 working days to clear your cheque and credit your account with your money but in some cases it may take up to 21 working days. Once again, you will need a domiciliary account for you to receive payment through this method. Please note that transaction charges apply to cheques, and these may vary from bank to bank.
WARNING: Make sure you provide a valid mailing address because omitting any information could delay your cheque. If your address cannot be traced easily, you may lose your cheque.
·        Western Union Money Transfer

Western union is a well known and unarguably a respected organization used by Nigerians to send money home. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to trace the person who collects the money. Most of these criminals especially “yahoo yahoo ” guys use this service so as to evade detection. Most foreigners detest from sending money to people in Nigeria whom they met or know only through the internet but if you have clients that are understanding, then this method may be a good option for you especially if you are a freelancer because you can receive payment from anywhere in the world. You need a valid Government-issued Identity Card such as International passport, National Identity Card or Driver’s License before you can receive payments. Although this payment method is very speedy, it may not be suitable for very small payments due to the transfer and transaction charges.

·        2CheckOut
It is also known as 2CO, this service allows you to integrate a payment system on your website or blog. So, If you sell products or render services online, this option is for you. Just visit 2checkout.com and register.
Note: You’ll be charged an application fee of $10. So this is mainly meant for those with some higher volume sales and not casual transactions. It takes a few days to get your account approved (they need to confirm that your business is credible). Once your account is approved, you can set up the payment button on your page.
With 2checkout, you can receive payment from anyone, regardless of the payment method that person chooses. (Whether it is PayPal, Credit or Debit Card etc). Subsequently, you can withdraw your funds from your 2checkout account to your domiciliary account or Payoneer MasterCard. Payment is made every Thursday, provided you have up to the minimum release balance.
You can go to the FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) page of 2checkout to find out more information on how to use their service.
·        Payoneer MasterCard
In my own opinion, this is the coolest option for Nigerians. With the Payoneer debit MasterCard, you can receive payment from freelance job sites, affiliate networks, individuals and companies. To get your Payoneer debit card, you have two options:
1.     If you are going into affiliate marketing or online freelance business like article writing, web design, programming, SEO (search Engine Optimization), graphics design, virtual assistance, translation etc. You can request the card through the freelance outsourcing sites or affiliate network you want to work with. Examples of payoneer patners through which you can request your own card are Elance, Odesk, Freelancer, Markethealth, Fiverr etc.
2.     Visit  payoneer's website  to request the card directly. After your request has been confirmed by the payoneer support, you will be sent an email informing you of the shipment as well as the expected delivery date. (You will be told to wait for 28 days, but I receive my own cards in less than 20 days. So it depends on your location in Nigeria.
WARNING: Payoneer does not deliver to mailboxes. Only residential addresses are allowed. So use a valid residential address that can be traced easily. If your card gets lost in transit, I am afraid you may have to pay $50 (that is about ₦7,500) before another card is sent to you.
The payoneer card allows you to receive payments from freelance sites and affiliate networks. Also, individuals can load funds directly to their card and from another credit or debit card. Once you have the funds on your card, you will get an email notification from Payoneer and you can withdraw your funds instantly from any ATM that processes Mastercard – issued cards. The last time I checked, GTBank and Zenith Bank offer these ATM cards.
Other Methods Includes:
Venmo
Amazon Webpay
Google Checkout
Moneybookers
So, if you’ve always thought that online business is impossible without PayPal, I’m sure you now know that there are other options for you. Choose your preferred option and start making cool cash from your Online Business. Yes, I’m sure you love what you just read. In case you didn’t know, this is a new blog with the aim of enlightening Nigerians who want to start online business but don’t know how.
